Húsavík

Húsavík is the place where the first brief settlers, Garðar Svavarsson and Náttfari, set foot on the Island around the year 870. It is a charming town with a beautiful seafront that faces a spectacular mountain range and offers all necessary services and a variety of amenities.

Invites to a leisurely stroll and is also the beginning of a 2 km hike to Lake Botnsvatn, east of town.
